The template editor

Q
Written by QR Queen

The template editor is a canvas where you compose your printed piece block by block (text, image, QR code frames) and where you insert merge fields to personalize each copy.

  1. Open "Templates" in the sidebar, then create or open a template to enter the editor.

  2. Add a text frame, an image frame, or a QR frame via the toolbar ("Add QR code" button for the QR).

  3. Select a text frame to bring up the text panel: set the font, size, weight, color, and alignment.

  4. Place the insertion point, then choose a field in the "Merge field" selector: QR Queen inserts the matching token (for example {{firstName}}) at the cursor position.

Good to know

  • The PDF rendering and the preview share the same merge engine: what you see in the preview matches the generated PDF.

  • Each QR frame prints a unique, trackable QR code per contact: it is what triggers scans and therefore billing (1 credit per QR frame).

  • The field selector automatically shortens CRM keys: fields.org_address_route is inserted in the short form {{org_address_route}}, but the old {{fields.*}} tags keep working.
